CaZo Dance Advertising

Overview:

CaZo Dance Theatre hosts yearly fundraisers to raise money for their team and provide a sneak peek of their next upcoming dance show. While working with Phoenix Moirai, I was requested to design promotional flyers to encourage attendance of this event.

Solution:

Provided the text and some images of the dancers, I designed flyers that represented the themes of their upcoming show, while keeping the overall appearance bold and eyecatching to draw attention.

The show told stories revolving around two separate couples — one who meets at a dance club, while the other gets split apart when the main male gets drafted into the military. I used these themes for the background imagery while focusing on keeping the color scheme simplified. I kept dark red as the dominant color to maintain alignment with the company’s branding.

As a personal extension of this project, I designed a brochure to advertise the company. These brochures conveyed a simplified version of who CaZo is while highlighting an upcoming performance.

The biggest challenge was coming up with a clean list for all of their classes and the different age groups they are intended for. By creating a three column layout and using a key to demonstrate their open classes, this overwhelming amount of information became navigable.
